Butt hinges are inset (mortised) into the door and frame. Most residential and commercial hinges are made of steel for strength. However many mortise hinges for exterior doors are made of brass or stainless steel to prevent corrosion.
Allegion hinges are no exception. The 13000 Series include a variety of hinges to suit timber or metal doors in several different applications.
