Terms and conditions
 

  1. Information on how to enter forms part of the Terms and Conditions of entry. Acceptance of the prize is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.  Headings in this document are included for ease of reference, and do not affect interpretation in any way.

  2. The Promoter is Allegion (Australia) Pty Ltd (ABN 49 077 898 161) an Australian legal entity with registered offices at 33 Alfred Street, Blackburn, Vic 3130. (Promoter).

  3. The Promotion commences at 8.00am (AEST) Thursday 8 May 2025 and closes at 11:59pm (AEST) Tuesday 27 May 2025 (Promotion Period).


    The Prize

  4. The Promoter will provide the winner the following prize:
    ·       Fatfish OG 17AH Fat Tyre E-Bike, $2,499
    Total Prize value: approximately $2,499, based on the recommended retail price at the time of the start of Promotion.  


    Entry into the promotion

  5. Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or older (Eligible Entrants).      

  6. To participate in this Promotion, Eligible Entrants must fill in the form presented at the SecTech Roadshow 2025 Event (between 8 May 2025 and 27 May 2025).


    The Prize Draw

  7. There will be one computerized random draw conducted from eligible entrants at 2:00pm (AEST) on 29 May 2025, to choose the winner. The winner will receive the Prize as stated above. The winner will be notified in writing and by phone within 2 business days of the draw and their name published on Allegion Australia’s LinkedIn social page.

  8. If any part of the Prize is unavailable, the Promoter, in their discretion, reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or that part of the Prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority. The Promoter and retailer Management accept no responsibility for any variation in the value of any Prize. 

  9. Each Prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated. Prizes are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services.  A Prize cannot be transferred to any other person, unless agreed to by the Promoter. It is a condition of accepting a Prize that the winner accept the conditions of use of that Prize.


    The Second Chance Draw

  10. The Promoter reserves the right to redraw in the event of any Winner not claiming a Prize. If any Prize remains unclaimed or forfeited through ineligibility or otherwise, the Promoter will conduct a further draw, as required, at the same time and place as the original draw, on 30 May 2025, the winner, if any, will be notified in writing and by phone within 2 business days of the redraw. Any second chance draw winner will have their name published on the Allegion Australia’s LinkedIn social page.

  11. If any act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations.

  12. The Promoter reserves  the right (subject to any applicable law) to cancel, terminate or modify or suspend this Promotion. The Promoter, its related bodies corporate and their respective officers, employees, contractors and agents (Promotion Parties) will not be liable for any losses, damages, expenses, costs or personal injuries arising out of this Promotion, or the use of any prize, including but not limited to any breach of these terms and conditions, contract or tort (including negligence) and any other common law, equitable or statutory remedy (Damages) whatsoever, including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential damages, including damages that cannot reasonably be considered to arise naturally and in the ordinary course of things, even if those damages were in the contemplation of the Promotion Parties.

  13. The Promoter reserves the right to take any action necessary in its sole discretion at any time, subject to regulatory authority.

  14. By entering the Promotion, Eligible Entrants consent to the reproduction and use of their photograph, image, voice or a reproduction thereof, either in whole or part, to be used reasonably by the Promoter for any purpose whatsoever in connection with the Promotion, and without payment or compensation.

  15. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the competition and administer the prize and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers and prize suppliers and, as required, to regulatory authorities in Australia. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant in accordance with its Privacy Policy available here: https://www.allegion.com/corp/en/footer/privacy-statement.html . Entrants should direct any request to opt out, access, update or correct information to the Promoter.

  16. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of any entries and in its sole discretion, disqualify any or all entries from, and prohibit further participation in this Promotion by, any person who: (a) tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the Promotion; (b) acts in violation of these Terms and Conditions; (c) acts in a disruptive manner; (d) acts with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person; or (e) engages in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved. 

  17. An exclusion of liability, does not apply to limit or exclude liability: a. for personal injury or death suffered or sustained in connection with the supply of goods or services which are supplied by the Promoter in the ordinary course of business. To remove doubt: third party goods or services, which other than in connection with this Promotion, are in the normal course of business supplied by a third party unrelated to the Promotion Parties, are not supplied by the Promoter in the ordinary course of business. 

  18. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from any Winner accepting a Prize. Independent financial advice should be sought. The promoter is not responsible for any warranties or managing future claims

  19. Any Disputes arising from this Promotion, will be subject to Australian Law with the exclusive jurisdiction of Melbourne courts.
